The Care Certificate is an identified set of standards that health and social care staff adhere to in their work roles. The aim is to provide a consistent standard of training for staff providing care in hospitals, care homes and in people’s own homes after the Cavendish Review (2014) highlighted a lack of ‘consistent or compulsory’ training across the health and social care sectors. The Care Certificate sets out clearly the learning outcomes, competencies and standards of care that will be expected in our sector to ensure our staff are caring, compassionate and provide a quality service to our clients.

After completing Induction training, staff are then supported to undertake training in specialist areas of care, including but not limited to:
1. Dementia, Alzheimer’s and Mental Health
2. Recognition/understanding of ethnic priorities: culture/religion/race/gender/life-styles
3. Physical Disabilities Palliative Care/Death, Dying and Bereavement
4. Stroke Recovery
Our in-house training also offers tailor training specific to your needs.
If any of our care staff decide to specialise in the more complex areas of care, then we can offer additional training to support them.
